Pegasus 2.0.15
New
Microsoft Flight Simulator now connects through SimConnect. MSFS 2020 and 2024 connect through the interface built into the simulator itself - there is nothing to install and nothing to configure. Start MSFS and Pegasus in either order and the connection establishes on its own. FSUIPC is no longer needed (or used) for MSFS; the older simulators - FSX, FSX:SE, Prepar3D and FS2004 - still connect through FSUIPC exactly as before.
Lights, pitot heat, parking brake and spoilers are now reported for sixteen more aircraft, built from pilots' August wizard submissions: the iniBuilds A300-600 Freighter and A350-1000, Fenix A319 and A320 IAE (MSFS 2020) and A319 CFM Sharklets (MSFS 2024), PMDG 777F and 777-200ER (MSFS 2020) and 737-800 BCF (both simulators), FlyByWire A380X (MSFS 2024), FSReborn Phenom 300E, Aerosoft CRJ 900 V2, Headwind A339X, LatinVFR A321neo, FlightSim Studio E175, the default MSFS 2024 737 MAX and 747-8, and the X-Crafts E195 on X-Plane 12.
Changed
X-Plane add-on recognition improved. Don't want to go into details for reasons of users coming up with more ways to defeat the add-on detection system - but we should have more positive detections of addons.
Flap positions are now named for the TFDi MD-11 and MD-11F on MSFS 2024 (UP / 0 / DIAL-A-FLAP / 28 / 35 / 50) and for the BravoAirspace 787-9, which was previously read off the generic seven-position 787 table although the aircraft has ten. Both updates come from pilots' wizard captures.
The Aircraft Data Wizard now says exactly why it will not proceed (engines not running, no aircraft loaded) instead of a generic refusal, and no longer implies FSUIPC is installed when it is not.
Fixed
Hopefully fixed X-Plane ToLiss aircraft reporting the wrong type for the whole session. The native plugin read the aircraft's identity once at load, but ToLiss aircraft set their configured variant (A320 CEO vs NEO, A321 CEO vs NEO) shortly after load - so a CEO-configured A320 was filed as an A20N (and an A321 NEO as an A321) for the entire flight. The plugin now refreshes the identity when it changes. Affected versions 2.0.12 through 2.0.14 on the plugin connection.
Stopped reporting PMDG 777 turns as speedbrake use. The 777's roll spoilers rise slightly in every normal turn, which crossed the spoiler-deployment threshold and filled logs with spurious "Spoilers deployed / retracted" lines. Spoiler events are silenced for the PMDG 777 family until a source that tracks the actual speedbrake handle is proven.
Pegasus no longer goes down with the simulator. If MSFS crashed or was force-killed mid-session, the broken connection could take Pegasus down with it; it now disconnects cleanly and reconnects when the simulator returns. Only the 2.0.15 beta was affected.
Fixed pitch and bank being recorded upside down on the new MSFS connection: a normal rotation was logged as "Lift-off, pitch: -7.6" and a right turn as a turn to the left, and the "max pitch" figure on the lift-off line reported the least nose-up point of the rotation rather than the most. Only flights flown on the 2.0.15 beta were affected; no released version was.
MSFS aircraft whose names arrive as unresolved localisation keys ("$$:…") no longer carry those keys into the flight log and PIREP.
