What's new

• Image Gallery component for custom pages

  Build a wall of logos or screenshots in a single block instead of adding one image component per picture. Images are uploaded and reordered together, you choose how many sit side by side in each row, and the whole gallery renders as one unit so pages stay quick to edit. Images that need their own link, their own dark mode variant or their own alignment still use the individual Image component.

What's improved

• Dashboard Banners is now Pages → Picture Board

  The Orwell page now shares its name with the Phoenix dashboard component it feeds, records are called Banners, and the page states that images only appear once the Picture Board component has been added under Pages → Phoenix Dashboard. Your existing banners, your images and the page address are unchanged, and pilots see no difference.

• The custom page editor is usable on very large pages

  Pages holding hundreds of image components took several seconds to open and then rebuilt and resent themselves every ten seconds for as long as the tab stayed open. Opening is now much faster and the editor no longer refreshes the whole page on a timer. Pages of ordinary size were never affected in a way anyone would notice.

• The dashboard flight list now uses the rank separator you configured

  The live and recent flights list on the Phoenix dashboard, and the live flights widget in Orwell, had a comma written into them and ignored your separator setting. Both now build pilot names the same way every other screen does, which also means the rank abbreviation is correctly hidden if you have turned it off.

What's fixed

• Community Challenge team progress for the Flight Time metric was counted in seconds against a target set in hours.

• Components inside a panel nested within another panel ignored the ranks they were restricted to and were shown to every pilot.

• "Book Flight From" and "Book Flight To" on a Focus Airport activity both listed every route touching the airport in either direction, so the two buttons produced an identical list and switching between them appeared to do nothing.

• A custom page could be saved with an incomplete component and would then fail to load for every pilot who opened it.

• The Random button in the aircraft picker picked from the whole eligible fleet rather than preferring the aircraft you had starred, even though the picker lists your favourites in a pinned group directly above it. Random now draws from your favourites whenever any of them can operate the flight, and falls back to the full eligible list when none can. Which aircraft are eligible has not changed.

• Rank separators lost their spacing, so names rendered as "Jane Doe|CA" rather than "Jane Doe | CA". Spacing is now applied when a name is displayed, so every existing rank renders correctly with nothing to re-save and no change needed from any Virtual Airline. Two related faults are fixed with it: the separator dropdown in Orwell appeared blank instead of showing the current choice, and the Operations API rejected every separator except Space.

• Pilot and rank names containing an apostrophe broke the tooltip on the dashboard flight list.
